Categories

Assign Categories to your bookings to group them visually on your calendars.

You can create or modify categories to distinguish or group bookings on your calendar views. The booking Color on the calendar will match the category you assign. You can also provide a unique name for your category to represent categories of bookings or even steps in your business process. If no category is selected, each booking will be assigned a default color.

Creating a Category

To create a category, your user must be assigned the Administrator or Manager user role.

  • Navigate to your Hive Settings, or select Edit Categories from the Category selector in the Booking detail

  • Locate the Category settings

  • Click the Add Category button

  • Choose a Color Swatch and key in a Label Name


Make a Category available on Public Calendars

To mark a category public, your user must be assigned the Administrator or Manager user role.

  • Navigate to your Hive Settings, or select Edit Categories from the Category selector in the Booking detail

  • Locate the Category settings

  • Locate the Category you want published on the public calendar, and check Public


Modifying a Category

To modify a Category, your user must be assigned the Administrator or Manager user role.

  • Navigate to your Hive Settings, or select Edit Categories from the Category selector in the Booking detail

  • Locate the Category settings

  • Locate the Category you want to modify

  • Choose a new Category and key in a new Category Name


Deleting a Category

To delete a Category, your user must be assigned the Administrator or Manager user role.

  • Navigate to your Hive Settings, or select Edit Categories from the Category selector in the Booking detail

  • Locate the Category settings

  • Locate the Category you want to delete

  • Click the Delete button


Assigning a Category to a Booking

To assign a Category to a booking, your user must be assigned the Administrator or Manager user role.

  • Navigate to your Calendar Booking

  • Locate the Category selector next to the Booking Name

  • Choose the Category for your Booking
